Recently fans were offered
a chance to be backstage with Lucy for an hour during her
rehearsal (the cost was $550) they spent an hour with
Lucy for her rehearsal and took pics - way cool! Now there's a
memory that is worth more than the $$ spent :) Way to go and a
very classy move by Lucy making this an event for those people.
One of those friends was a friend of mine and
she sent me her report and pic from that memorable event.
Leila is leaving Australia and
her friends gathered together to give her a very special going
away gift...
So...
they decided to give me a farewell gift.
Without my knowledge, they bid on ebay for one of the backstage
tickets... and won! So, they contacted Joolz and had her hand
me the gift on Saturday, a few hours before the said backstage
meetup.
Can you imagine how I felt??? I almost
fainted! I was so gobsmacked that I was totally without words
(and they had Joolz and Jackie film me in my totally stunned
state, as I read their loving letter).
Is this Xenite love, or what???

Oh... and I have to add that, when I told Lucy my name, she was
like (picture Lucy's goofy face here) "Oh, oh... I know what I'm
gonna sing to you..."
And there she was bellowing out full force
"Leeeeeeeeilaaaaaaaaaaa.... got me on my knees, Leilaaa....."
oh man... (that's what's happening on that pic...)
I'm surprised I did not drop down on my knees
myself right then...
